[ beam me up ]

THERE'S SOMETHING about beamed ceilings that make a space seem so special. The ceilings are high and the beams give the room such character - wouldn't it be great to own a home with beams someday?

    I could not agree more! I LOVE beamed ceilings, they do add such character to a space, and despite the nature of whatever room they are in, they have a way of bringing the space down to earth!

    Beams give such a sense of height and space - just beautiful. (although at the risk of putting a downer on things, I have often wondered how people with beamed ceilings keep them clean and free of cobwebs?!)
