[ flashback ]

WHEN I stumbled upon this charming little corner, it brought back memories of childhood. Growing up, I had a bedspread just like that slipcover! And not only was it a bedspread, it became a picnic blanket in the backyard and a "tent" where I giggled inside with my girlfriends and our Barbies. ahh, good times!

    Beautiful .....I remember those bedspreads...my daughter had a baby blanket like that and loved it. Love the flash backs. Have a wonderful Monday!

    I still have a chenille bedspread...it does have some bare patches, but it is so soft and lovely.

    This photo has given me some ideas as to what to do with it...

    I had a bedspread like that too, with 1970's pink flowers on it. Nothing like a good tent-making bedspread :)

    Lots of my friends had that kind of bedspread...it's cool in summer and where I great up it is HOT all the time. That chair looks cool on many levels!

    I really like them. I didn't have one as a child but I had one on my daughter's bed so many happy memories there. I've still got it tucked away somewhere.

    My Grandmommie had one of those!! Except her's was pink. I loved to rub the dots with my fingers. What a great memory!

    My parents had a bedspread like that too. I can vaguely remember my mom letting me nap in her room in the summer, it was always so cool in there during the afternoon. Thanks for sharing.
