[ gold glam ]

THIS ROOM has glam written all over it. So, what makes it glam?...

...just enough gold sparkle from the pillow, lampshade, side table, picture frames and round mirror.

Gold is back in a big way and reminds me of all the golden finishes I had in my first home in the early 90s. And as it went out of style, I replaced every frame and accent with silver or aged bronze finishes. Have you embraced the return of gold?

  1. No...I have not embraced gold...I think I will always be a silver kinda gal. I can appreicate these glam spaces, but would never want one for myself...not with gold anyway. :o) Thanks for sharing...Happy Wednesday!

  3. I think it's warm...most of my antique art is framed in gold so it never left. It's a warm dulled gold and I've always liked it. I don't know that I'll ever want to change out any of my aged bronze stuff...it acts as the "black" accents in my home. Every room needs some black! :) Just like in your inspiration photo...I love it.

  4. I love mixing different finishes in a room. I have definitely added more gold to my home over the past few years and love it!

  5. No, not really a gold person love how it looks and the glam about it. And I love looking at interiors such as this one. Glam makes me think of celebrities for some reason...not sure why.

  7. I love some gold touches like that side table in this room. So pretty! I have a gold wreath that I'm excited to hang on our door for the holidays and my gold sunburst mirror makes me very happy.

  8. I have to say I am more of a silver or even copper sort of a girl. I do like worn and aged gilt, but not shiney gold. I love the poster or whatever it is that says 'Darling' that says Hollywood glamour to me. Thanks for the thought provoking post, love Linda x
