[ accent pattern ]

ARE YOU a bit wallpaper phobic but still want to add some pattern to a room? As much as I love the look of wallpapered rooms, I love them more in other people's homes {perhaps it's my fear of commitment ~ I've always loved changing things up too often to jump onto the wallpaper wagon}.

When I came across this bedroom, I immediately thought what a perfect solution! A large statement floral pattern on a fabric panel. It works well hung on a four poster bed, or simply suspended from a curtain rod mounted at the ceiling. And when you tire of it, just take it down. Easy peasy.

How about you? Do you share the same fear of commitment that I do?

  1. I have wallpapered so many times and enjoyed it but when it's time to take it down - ugh!
I have white wallpaper in my bedroom, it's textured with a mod pattern but no color. Seemed a good idea at the time but I kind of wish I hadn't.

  3. I should probably have more than I do...but I LOVE wallpaper. I'm hoping to get our bedroom walls covered soon. But this is a beautiful image!

  4. I do like the look of wallpapers but I also have commitment phobia as well as laziness... that is one project I don't want to undertake! I like change to much and paint is just soooo much easier to change. Love your solution. xo

  5. YES! I DO share
    your wish to be
    able to change
    things up, easily.
    The most patterned
    thing I have on the
    wall is a big damask
    stencil ~ which I
    did in the smallest
    room: the powder
    room! It's been over
    a year and I still
    love it, though....

    Great inspiration pic!
