[ beautiful blooms ]

SO NOW that the April showers are gone, it's time to see all those May flowers! Today's post is a tribute to all the gorgeous blooms I won't be seeing in Dubai {no April showers, no May flowers here ~ nothing but beige beige beige!}

Enjoy your beautiful gardens everyone!

  3. So then, what flowers are around in your local markets then? What are the native flowers like?

  4. The Phoenix desert is in full color right now but I imagine in about a month it will all be burning up for our beige summer as well :)
    Do you have flower markets at all?

    I've got a fun giveaway today :)

  5. Lilacs are on my mind too. What a lovely and romantic flower.
    Do they have flowers to purchase in Dubai? Probably not lilacs.
    Have a wonderful week.

  6. There are flower shops here who carry the typical varieties, as well as a small display in a grocery store with roses and lilies, but it just doesn't compare to driving through neighbourhoods and seeing flowering trees {like cherry, lilac, forsythia and magnolia} in bloom and spring bulbs poking up their heads. That's always been my favourite thing about spring. :)

  9. Please tell me they at least have Bouganvilla there? I at least have those when it's a zillion degrees here. I miss hydrangeas the most. We had bushes of them back home and I could cut till my heart was content.

  10. Love lilacs!! I miss those from Canada - we don't get them in our area of So Cal - too hot!

  11. Lisa - I spent the day working in the garden and if I could package it up and mail it to Dubai I would. Nothing better than the sights, sounds and smells of spring in southern Ontario. Julie

  16. I'm really looking forward to the lilac's. Hope you are doing well. Life has been busy here - hard to make time for blogging :). Hope you can at least buy some flowers to brighten your days.
