[ kate spade spring and today only online sale ]

I'VE ALWAYS loved Kate Spade ~ there's such a fun, youthful vibe to all of the pieces. I've never lived near a Kate Spade shop so I've had to pick up the odd thing here and there when I've travelled {I see there is a shop set to open here in the big Dubai Mall shortly so we'll see if it's a full shop or a limited selection}.

I love the graphic punch of the spring 2012 collection. The bold black and white prints with the bright pops of colour make for some really cheerful pieces.

A few of my faves...

Aren't they fun?

If you're a fan of Kate Spade and want to grab a deal, head over and check out the one day online sale TODAY ONLY until 11:59 PST.

[ woohoo! and a new style ]

WHAT A LOVELY morning to find out that my Leigh clutch made it on the front page of Etsy! It's only happened to me a couple of times and what a thrill when it does!

I don't really mention my shop often but since we're talking about Etsy today, I'd like to introduce my latest style of shoulder bag hot off the sewing machine: Christina! Designed to be a great everyday bag, I've paired up some fun upholstery fabrics and added pleats on the front and back that expand so you can hold more stuff. Watch for more Christinas coming soon to my Etsy shop and website!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

[ car boot sales ]

WHEN WE FIRST came to Ireland almost 4 years ago, I had no idea what a car boot was, let alone a car boot sale. I would see generic signs every so often, primarily in church parking lots or schools for an upcoming Car Boot Sale but foolishly never bothered to actually find out what they were.

Silly me, a car boot is the trunk of a car and a car boot sale is the equivalent to a garage/yard sale in Canada and US but people park their cars in a parking lot, pop open their trunks and display all the goodies they have to sell. Since I always get a thrill from garage sales and finding treasures in thrift stores, this was right up my alley and we finally went to our FIRST car boot sale when we stumbled upon one on the weekend!

It wasn't a big sale but it was fun to wander around and check out what people had up for grabs.

Though there were a few interesting things to pick up, we settled on a few paperbacks for 50 cents each and some homemade raspberry jam. A fun day and I'll definitely be on the lookout for more upcoming sales!

[ berry cute! ]

I'VE DISCOVERED a cheery online shop based in the UK that carries a nostalgic range of homeware, gifts and garden buys with such a retro feel, you'll think you've stepped back in time. At  berryred.co.uk, you're sure to find something that will bring back memories of pieces your parents had in the 70's. So vintage inspired.

[ new website! ]

I'VE BEEN working diligently to put together a new website for my handbags and I'm so excited to say that it's now up and running! Eventually it will allow purchases directly on the site, but for now it links to my Etsy shop. Please check it out and tell me what you think! www.lisaroy.ca
