I decided that my studio would be a great place to start an art wall since I've got a fairly large area above the wall-to-wall IKEA dressers that house my fabrics. I've been collecting some fun art pieces on Etsy and from various art shows I've gone to so I'm excited to finally get some of them out of storage and on display.
I started out with some inexpensive picture rails from IKEA (I love IKEA for these types of things!). They were a bit too long but were easy to cut down to the proper length.
After a bit of shuffling around, this is how it turned out. I love that I can move things around anytime to keep the display fresh. And I've got a feeling this might eventually spread across the wall. :)

I must be your long-lost sister from across the border because we not only share the same MINI but we love art walls and have the same picture ledges, too! xx

Very cool :D
Really great example photos, and you did a great job on your own space! That dresser was a great find - I need something like that.
I NEED an art wall. I have all of these things I want to buy, but no where to put them. What a great idea. Great inspiration photos!
Wow, I am impressed. I love your art walls!
That turned out great! Is that cute little hand from Urban Outfitters? Have been coveting that for a while!
I love these, Lisa! Gives me some ideas for hanging art pieces from friends that are too small to make an impact alone and don't necessarily go with anything else. Odd pieces just seem to work in a grouping like these.
I really love it, and I'm trying to do the same with my plates but I somehow screwed it up. Alignment isn't good and I've spent so much on the adhesives. http://www.majeigh.com/2011/07/in-l-o-v-e.html
