[ got fleas? ]

NOT ONLY WAS yesterday Halloween, it was also Dublin Flea Market day! Held the last Sunday of every month, The Market has grown into one of Dublin's most loved markets. It's got everything you would expect from a flea market from vintage clothes to retro furniture and random odds & ends to an organic food store, homemade falafels, waffles and greek food. And with stalls inside and out, it was buzzing!

The thing I love about this market is that for each month, a poster is designed by a different well-known local artist and are available for sale at the market, with the profit going back to the artist. I love the various styles and knew I would be going home with one to frame for my studio. After choosing a couple that were sold out (no wonder, they were great!) I chose this one which I love in both style and colour:

What a fun way to spend an afternoon and I'll definitely be planning to go again next month!

We must have been like ships passing in the night! Clicking away on the cameras. So funny I took two of the same photos - your 3rd one and the vintage posters! Great minds and all that! Got two lovely handbags yesterday and check out my 2 posts on the red shoes! Hope you grabbed some bargains..Sinead x

I love flea markets! That looks like a great one. Fun retro goodies and those plate stands are gorgeous. The poster you picked is fantastic...and what a neat idea.

Hope you snagged some great finds!

I'm loving that first poster also! How fun. I can't resist a good market and this looks like a great find. I really need to find myself one of those pretty plate stands. I keep admiring them whenever I see them!

I would have been more than happy to skip Halloween, entirely, to be able to check out that flea market. Good Lord, it looks fabulous! I love the poster for the Christmas market - too cute.

Wow, it looks like such an amazing market! I especially love the posters. Maybe one day I'll find myself in Dublin...though, I'd need a lot of luggage to bring it all home :)
