[ does it make you shutter? ]

DO YOU know when you see something and you're not quite sure whether you love it or hate it? Well, that's how I felt when I saw this wall of shutters...

The owner said she was inspired by a display in an Anthropologie store and set out on a hunt for salvaged shutters everywhere, scraping and painting before assembling them into a patchwork on her dining room wall. It is certainly different and would be a conversation piece... what do you think of this shuttered wall?

I am not a fan of it Lisa and wold never be able to have that look going on here. I would like to see that with old worn shutters and perhaps one real window space.

I think it would be good for a cottage and in a smaller dose! But she did do a great job with the color!

Not for me. I am with Razmataz above...I'd like it if they were old and worn, and perhaps fewer of them. I don't hate it, but I don't love it.

It's very unique and I think fits an Anthropologie store perfectly...but not so sure of it in my home?!?!

I would love to see that in a commercial space, like a restaurant, but not sure that I could live with it, for long, at home. It is pretty cool looking though!

It's not for me I like a few behind something or to the side of door or headboard but certainly not a whole wall! Too wild for me!

I concur with the comments you already have. In a restaurant, bar, or shop I think it would be fabulous. But in a domestic setting it just squeaks over the edge to "contrived" to me. Unless she has a connection with shutters?

I give her kiddos for doing something she loved without fear. Now she has been published in a magazine and I have not. :-) But does this wall bring me joy? No.
Happy weekend!

Bravo to her for recreating something she saw and loved. I am sure she is pleased and that's all that matters right. A bit too much for me though.
