[ spring! ]

AS MUCH as I love summer and flip flops, I've always been a huge fan of spring. Birds start chirping, days get longer, and little blooms poke their heads up after a long sleepy winter. Just knowing that there will be months ahead of gorgeous days, gets my heart beating a little faster.

There's nothing like that first trip to the garden centre to pick up those early pansies for your planters to add some spring colour to your entrance. Spring in Dubai is a little different ~ the gorgeous weather is slowly coming to an end and those blistery hot days are soon on their way. Looks like I'll be missing the pansy season all together. What do you do to welcome spring?

I am listening to the birds sing right now...I cannot fathom the blistering hot of a Dubai summer. We are just getting A/C in our home this year. We've lived here 20 years and have had some very hot summer days, but nothing like Dubai.

It is a crazy end-of-winter in the midwestern U.S. It's been in the 70s and 80s for most of March! All my flowering trees are blooming and my daffodils are out. Very strange, but I'm not complaining one bit :)

Spring has definitely sprung around here! I used to live in the Philippines and I can sympathize with your Summers! TOO HOT TO EVEN EXPLAIN. Enjoy your day - Jalon

Dubai sounds a little like Las Vegas where we had early summer. summer, and late summer (spring, summer, & fall)lol! Except I'm sure it's even hotter where you are!
Those pansy photos are gorgeous! I found some wild violets near my house yesterday and got so excited!

We have the same weather here in Phoenix, the nice part is almost over and the brutality of summer is fast approaching.
I think it's for that reason that I prefer fall, it's a welcome relief.
I did buy some lovely flowers yesterday, made me feel more springy.

Love pansies too! Just about time to plant them here.

On my drive home, I spotted 2 different kinds of yellow flowers. I'll be spending Saturday making paper with the yellow flowers. They will become beautiful cards.

Spring cleaning, a little painting and a trip to the nursery today for some pretty flowers by the front gate are what I am doing to celebrate the first day of Spring today :D I had a client cancel and am taking full advantage of the gift of time!!!
