[ all things pink ]

TO HONOUR THIS DAY filled with love, hearts and valentines, today's inspiration is all about pink, specifically pink walls.

I remember when we bought our first house in the 90s, I painted the living room/dining room walls in the most luscious shade of pink (similar to pic #2). Some would call it peony, others made jokes about bubble gum but I loved it. Over the years my tastes have changed and our walls have neutralized but seeing all the pink walls everywhere again, I can't help but think back to ours and how cheerful they felt.

Will you be embracing the honeysuckle pink colour of the year? Or will pink walls remain a thing of the past?

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! xo

Well I won't be painting any walls, mine are all white and I like it but I will probably be incorporating it into my spring summer wardrobe a bit. I think of pink as almost a neutral - it really does go with everything and everyone looks good with a soft pink light :)

You must have ESP, because I just went to the paint store yesterday to pick out pink swatches for our guest room. I've inherited French provincial furniture in an ivory/gold finish, and I thought pink might complement it nicely. Also, because I have 4 boys, I don't get to decorate too many girlie rooms.

I'd love to hear if anyone has any favorite shades of pink. I could go either very pale (not bubblegum), or more to a coral shade. I like the one above in the dining room with the linen/ivory chairs.

Thanks for the encouragement to "go for the pink!"

Such pretty pink walls. I don't think I have a place for them in my house but they are really nice!

Cheery indeed!
I really like the salmon pink in the bathroom. Has a bit of an orange undertone.

Hope you're having a great day!

I painted a room pink once, for my second child that was supposed to be a girl, but SURPRISE it was a boy -- so the pink came down pretty fast. I love all of these pictures, it makes me want another pink room -- BEAUTIFUL!!!

I hope you had a wonderful day!

Well perhaps not embracing, but having a little fun with it I think. I love image #5, of the pink bathroom ~ very intriguing room.
I think Honeysuckle is going to get picked up more as an accessories colour than as a wall colour ~ it is certainly appearing in a lot of marketing and packaging material.
Terrific selections!

Loving pink walls right now! I am trying to figure out a way to get some in the new house....a very light grayed out version.

I just couldn't do it! But it does amaze me how well others do. It's not the easiest colour to get right and these images are beautiful. Rachaelxx
