[ a sad day ]

TODAY MARKS a very sad day. I first used a MAC back in design school in 1988. Since then, I have owned many. In fact, everything I've accomplished in my graphic design career of over 20 years is all thanks to the tools that Steve Jobs helped to create. So to me, he has had a huge impact on my life.

Thank you Steve Jobs for your vision, innovation and dedication. You are a true genius and you will be missed.

Oh hear hear Lisa, so well said. Steve Jobs made me computer literate when I know nothing about computers (even today!) he opened a world of design and imagination for me and I so love my Mac. I too have been using Mac's from the early 1980's for my work as a designer and from the minute the 'happy Mac' symbol appeared on the screen I knew it was something I couldn't do without. My Mac and I are unhappy Mac's today.

Yep, it's really a loss. He changed the world and not many of us can actually say that.

He said he wanted to make a ding in the world, he made an enormous dent. It was a life well lived.

Was very sad to read this. I agree with Karen, a life well lived I would say. His family must be completely heartbroken.
He certainly made his mark on the world.

I agree, such a sad day. I just bought my first IPhone and MAC computer just months ago. I have truly been transformed from the way I do my daily computing thanks to Steve Jobs.

It is amazing the impact one person can have on the world (along with a lot of help) when they follow their passions.

Even my almost 13 year old was chatting with friends today and the main topic of discussion was the passing of Steve Jobs. He certainly changed the world and remained humble and dedicated to the end. He is certainly a role model for this generation of gadget users. Hope all is well with you. Best wishes, Tammy

He certainly changed the world and will be greatly missed. Cancer cares not about wealth, innovation, or intelligence - I hope a cure can be found for the many others suffering.
