[ pretty IKEA room ]

THE THING I love about this room? When you take a closer look, you realize that most of this room is done with a trip to IKEA. White Billy bookcases for some shelves, white frames for the gallery wall, all the storage boxes and mag files, the charcoal grey desk, white wicker chair, white slipcovered chairs and ottoman, sheepskin throw on the chair, white metal side table.

You obviously don't need to spend a lot to create a very pretty home office space. What would we do without IKEA?

I have such a love/hate relationship with Ikea....but I keep going back for more! It's one of the only places where you can get inexpensive, accessible, stylish decor!

Ikea has some great rooms. I love how this room seems cozy and comfy all at the same time. Makes me want to curl up with a book. xo

I just had my "fix" lately...only spent a small amount of money. I usually can't get out of there without spending a minimal $100...I picked up Christmas clearance this time. %75off :)
Are you working on your studio now? xo

It's all put together so well, and the layers make it cosy despite all that white. This is design for real people.

I agree... It's not about spending a lot. It's about getting what you love and putting you own stylish spin on it. Thanks for your comment about your sink!

That's the thing with Ikea, it's so well designed that you can slip into a room full of more expensive items of furniture and it will hold it's own. Robx

I must admit, we do have a smattering of Ikea throughout our home too. The great thing about their stuff is that you can change it up and funktify (new word) it to suit your taste. Bless them. ;)

Yes...what would we do without Ikea?...this room is beautiful! I love the three bookcases, one in the middle being a different size and a collage wall above...is the desk Ikea?

I love Ikea and this is a great example of why. As with most, you have to be selective...not all of it is quality and you have to put some effort into it but I think it is worth it most of the time! I'm so grateful to have two of them close by.
