[ docks and ducks ]

THERE'S NOTHING better than a beautiful summer weekend with my sweetie and one of my favourite things to do is take our Hobie tandem kayak out on our river. Similar to a pedalboat, it's a kayak that you can either paddle or pedal.

Ok, my feet are in the pedals... let's go!
Hey! Are you pedalling back there?!

It's fun to see all the docks jutting into the river, just waiting for kids to jump off for a dip or canoes drying off from their last journey.

There were ducks splashing about... like this mama duck and her little babies swimming along side her.

And these other ducks all lined up for their dip.

After pedaling quite far down the river, we knew we'd better turn around so we'd have enough energy to get back. What a fun way to spend an afternoon. Hope you had a lovely weekend too!

Oh, Lisa, what lovely shots. Thanks for sharing, I cannot wait to go to the ocean in August. We use our kayaks there a lot.

Hope your week is wonderful!

One of my favorite things to do when we visit our friend's cabin is to kayak! Loved coming along for your ride : ) Isn't it fun to see homes from the lake side? And yes, the docks, the ducks.....it's all good.
Looks like fun! xx Suzanne
