[ white Christmas ]
ALTHOUGH I DO love the fun mix of colours for the holidays, I still find myself drawn to simple white interiors where holiday decorating consists of white, glass and silver. To me, this room is perfect for the holidays - just enough glitz and sparkle.

My, you have been
busy with your decorating
and I've enjoyed reading
it all. I'm trying to
keep it simpler this year,
as that is what I'm drawn
to in all the magazines
and on blogs. I am partial
to real greens, but since
we live in a climate like
yours, it's not really very
practical indoors. So, this
year I am indulging in pre-
potted dishes of paperwhites,
which bring in green and
that fresh feel. Otherwise,
really good fakes have to
stand in. You are right, the
white is always sooo peaceful.
Someday when my nest is empty
{boo hoo...} I would love to
have white. Hope your week
is off to a lovely start!

I'm a color gal, but this room is very beautiful...so elegant looking and I love the dark touches...the side table and the pictures on the wall.

This is where I flounder. I want my decorations to be simple and sparse like my home but then I start to feel like it's not enough and all of a sudden I'm swimming in little elves and the like - this year it has been no different.
Love it! And that wood flooring is to die for!
