When I saw this home and the beautiful way the owner incorporated old barnboard into the decor, I think my heart actually skipped a beat. Salvaged from an old Muskoka barn, it is now centre stage in this home.
I just love that old grey patina and the character it adds to the stairway and modern kitchen.
What do you think? Would you clad your walls in old barnboard?

gorgeous, rustic and chic at the same time! Janell
I am in love love with this space. It's fabulous. I prefer to live in grey and white, so soft and relaxing to me. Funny, I just came from another blog that was talking about old barn wood and its uses :)
This is beautifully executed. It is mixed with moder. I have visited some second homes and the barn wood is too rustic for my taste.
Thanks for posting

Wow, that is gorgeous! I agree with Helen that it's not my style, but i am totally drooling over it in the pics. Love the rustic wood with modern finishes.
Looks fab!! Kind of old world and modern at the same time. Loving the grey hue!!
I would feel perfectly at home in these rooms with the lovely barnboard all around me!! Great pictures ; ) xo Ashlyn
That's a fantastic kitchen. Love that look!
Beautiful! I would love an old barn door in my house somewhere! Have a wonderful day!
I love the modern way it's treated here, and the horizontal placement. Trying to convince the mister to let me do a wall of this in my son's bedroom, maybe if I show him these pics :)
