[ wise words ]

WHENEVER I'm feeling a little embarrassed about how pale I am even though I live in Dubai, I see a bad self-tan walk by and am reminded that...

And I'm ok with being my pale, translucent self.

These cards are great aren't they...totally my sense of humour. I tan easily (must be the gypsy in me), but I am trying to be a good girl and protect my skin these days. I don't want to look like leather some day. We're supposed to have a beautiful summer with lots of hot days...I'll have to find a shady spot to enjoy it!

LOL! I'm soooo pale that I almost never wear shorts but I just can't get on board with the fake tan thing either. I see women who look like they bathe in Tang every day from May thru September

Or worse yet have you seen online or news the Jersey Tan Mom holy crap scary! I like the self tanning lotion it's settle enough. Tanning is big here Katelyn says her school is full of orange girls! I have to say back in the day especially my senior year I sported a bad perm and a fake and bake tan....damn I thought I rocked it...80's style! lol!

Ha, ha...so true! I am so pasty white. I am tempted to try a self tanning cream, but I keep reading about how bad they smell. I'm not eager to spend money to purposely make myself stink! lol

Ha ha! From one pale girl to another, I loved this :) I often think I could write a blog about self-tanning. I've experimented with so many kinds over the years. My college roommate and I still laugh about how we used to wear matching "self-tanning" nighties and headbands and sit with our arms and legs outstretched so we wouldn't smudge our "tans!"

These days I'm into Jergens mousse. It dries quickly, doesn't smell as bad as most, and you build the "tan" gradually. Two applications is usually good enough and natural enough for me. I use Clarins self-tanner on my face.

Probably too much info, but like I said, I have lots of experience in fake bakes :)
