Here's the little gem we'll be relaxing in...
Isn't it cute? I feel so relaxed already just looking at these pics!
Anyone familiar with the coast of Maine? We'll be driving from Toronto to Portsmouth,NH before driving north along the coast to the cottage. If anyone has any suggestions of places to go, yummies to eat or things to do, please pass them along! The countdown starts now!

How exciting!! That place looks amazing! I'd be staring at those pics from now til I leave if I was you. ;-) So relaxing looking.
Isn't it wonderful to look forward to something!?!?!
I wish I could give you some suggestions but haven't been in the Toronto area in years and never did make it all the way out to Maine.
Looks like so much fun! Wish I was staying there!
If I saw a photo of this cottage I would immediately think of you. The place screams "Lisa" to me. Isnt' that funny given that we've never met!! Ah blogs. Hope you have a great visit with family and friends and then a great relaxing time in Maine. I've been once years ago but have little to offer in recommendations.
Looks like a perfect little spot, although...surprised you aren't heading to Muskoka!? You must be excited!
What a gorg spot to hang your hat for awhile. The porch and the water - LOVE IT!!
Sounds like it will be a wonderful trip. I bet it is all you can think about with the ongoing heat ; )
xo
that cottage looks perfect...J
That is such a beautiful retreat!! I want the contact so that when my lovely husband decides to take me ...... we can stay there. Oh dream a little dream.
What part of Maine? Plenty to suggest! It's a fantastic place!!
Leanne: yes, I know Muskoka would be the obvious choice. But we wanted to add some road tripping in there and some new experiences so we chose Maine this time. Trying to pack as much as we can into one 2-week trip back to North America.
tv matchmaker: The rental is in Booth Bay Harbour area so anywhere along the coast is where we'll be exploring
Sounds and looks like a perfect getaway!
Ooh, it looks divine!
Oh, how I'd love to meet you there! We could have cocktails on the veranda. It looks beautiful. If you have time, you should swing by the west coast ;)
Have a fantastic time in Canada with your family!
I've always wanted to rent a cottage in Maine. Your trip sounds divine and that cottage is adorable. Fun, fun.
It is such a charming cottage! What a lovely treat for you :D
Not sure where your cottage is but if you are close to Ogunquit you should visit Perkins Cove...lovely little spot to walk around-small shops and a few restaurants. In the same town is a fabulous restaurant called Arrows...small house with the most beautiful garden setting. Reservations are required and dress code is a little fancier. We had dinner there just this past week and it was a three hour food/wine experience!! Have fun!!
