[ charming china ]

YARD SALE time is just around the corner and I can't wait to hunt around for vintage plates and china. I love going thrifting too but am having a harder time finding good pieces - likely because there are a lot of other people out there scouring through the stores for the same things I am! Aren't these pretty displays? The soft colours and little florals are so charming.

I never seem to have luck at yard sales...I think I need to be more persistent. Great images, esp. like the glass on the top shelf in the first one.

Oh, yes, gorgeous little china pieces! I think that people are spending less these days and EVERYONE is looking for a bargain due to the economy, so garage sales, thrift stores, etc. are more picked over. Also, I think people aren't buying new stuff and just holding on to what they've got. Boo! We need to get out of this crazy financial mess! I want to go shopping!

I love that coffee pot in the last photo. I agree that there doesn't seem to be as many things to hunt down these days as it is all the trend at the moment to own vintage things. I for one never thought I'd be interested in vintage pieces but my tastes have definitely changed.
