I RECENTLY came across the Etsy shop of Boston artist Leah Giberson and I was drawn to her stunning pieces depicting seemingly ordinary scenes. Her work, a combination of photography, painting and collage tends to include vacant streets, empty chairs, abandoned pools, ordinary houses and camper trailers, all familiar scenes that surround us everyday. I love how her use of shadow and the absence of people gives her work a quiet feel that some people may find lonely but I find quite serene and beautiful. Stop by her Etsy shop for more gorgeous examples of her work.

Simple and beautiful - simply beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
I love discovering an artist whose work all speaks to you. That last image reminds me so of childhood summers in Waterford. Not the telephone lines (or fire hydrant or wide streets), just the steep hill with the row houses - happy memories.
Those are fun - love the vivid color and simple lines. They really make me want to get out of this office!
Very nice I like the second pic down one with the chairs. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comment. How exiting that you have deer on your property!! :)

I've been loving Leah Giberson's work as well. So pretty!
I love this kind of stuff! I think it captures the bleakness of the suburbs so perfectly (and I have lived in many a suburb, they're not bad, just a bit lacking in personality at times!). XX!
