I'VE ALWAYS loved bookcases in a family room - there's just something about them that makes the room feel cozy. I would love a wall of books but after moving around quite a bit, I have had to part with a lot of books. But even without an extensive book collection, these bookcases add warmth and really show off the personality of the people who live there.
Are you one of the lucky ones with a wall of bookcases in your home?

Just pinned that lovely bookcase #2...and those sconces are to die for!
Not in this house but in our Utah house we had them and I loved filling them with pictures, books and mementos. In Germany we had them too....
I am totally like you and move so often that we need to purge many of my books (this recent move I snuck in tons of boxes of books!). I love a home filled with books!!!
I agree, they're great for little souvenirs and books we've read over and over again!
We have bookcases flanking the fireplace in the family room and I keep eyeing the one in the living room wondering if it would work to add them there, if budget was not a concern of course! :) LOVE THEM!!

I love built in bookcases too! We had the opportunity to do a small angled built in under the empty part of the staircase. I love it for books and collections and we also have a small wine rack.
I love built-in book cases. I'm thinking about having some built in my own home, at least when I get some 'free' time to get someone out here for a quote!
I have quite a bit of bookcases, but would love more! Nothing like a wall of bookcases. Am thinking of painting mine though!
I love these bookcases, Lisa. Amazing how much warmth and charm they can lend to a room. Hope you get your hot showers and enjoy your weekend. xo
We have built-ins in our living room and I love them. I am always drawn to a well styled bookshelf.
