ONE OF MY favourite things about November at our place in Muskoka was when the weather would become blustery - listening to the wind howl outside, that cold rain lashing at the windows and all the while, being all warm and cozy in front of the fire. The flicker of the flames, a warm cocoa in hand and a cuddly throw... I can't think of a more comforting spot to be.
And while we are now having the summer you all enjoyed a few of months ago, I miss our place. I know, I must be crazy! But I miss cozy sweaters, warm socks after months of flip flops and snuggling in front of that fire.

How long are you in Dubai? Did you keep your Muskoka house?
Are you feeling a little homesick or just fond memories?
muskoka isn't going anywhere...it's always a place you can return to...even if it's just for a short visit. xo
I know exactly what you mean. My husband got transferred to Barbados from Toronto last year. Everyone thought we were so lucky, but I miss the seasons, I miss the fireplace, I even miss the snow, who would have thought that!
I'll repeat Razmataz's question: how long will you be in Dubai? Sounds like a fantastic experience, but I have no doubt you miss home. I love cozy winter nights too, but I really do love visiting Australia this time of year as well ;) Ahh, warmth.
Where is the "like button"? Love the pictures! My girlfriend Lisa just flew over to Dubai...........Hope all is well over there!
Blessings

i hear ya! paradise would be hard....lol!
I need four seasons....I can only imagine what Muskoka is like but I'm thinking something out of a Ralph Lauren catelog! I hope you make it back there sometime this winter for a visit.
Such lovely warm, Fall pictures!!
Muskoka is still here, and as has been said we're not going anywhere. It has been quite mild here...today it is 14 degrees celcius...pretty mild for mid November. If you ever what to know whats up here, I'm happy to share ;)
I most definitely want to start a fire now! That first picture is amazing!
Funny: I was saying just today to a friend about whether we'd miss the colder weather if we could live somewhere hot all year. I thought I would and she thought she wouldn't!
There is something wonderful about snuggling next to a roaring fire, isn't there!?

Yes, I was wondering if you planned to come back too ... nothing beats cozying up to the fire :) I love the images you chose, will have to pin some of them!

ooooh yes definitely looks cozy! Making me want a fireplace....
love fireplaces! don't be surprised if I have mine on when it's not cold out. I think they are just so relaxing!
And could not AGREE MORE! I adore fireplaces - B's parents had the best fireplace in Ireland and we spent most Sunday's in the evening curled up there... Need to make friends with someone with a fireplace in Toronto before the snow flies :P
That must feel so strange to be in the warmth. Will you travel home fro the holidays? I am loving that last room! So pretty and cozy!
