[ crazy about crochet ]

AREN'T THESE  pillowcases charming? I came across these at a lovely blog called rose hip and I was instantly smitten. The crocheted trim really adds the finishing touch to these pretty patterned pillowcases and would be equally as cute on some plain ones.

You can pick some up in Beata's Etsy shop here or try your hand at crocheting some of your own with this tutorial at You Go Girl.

I remember learning to crochet granny squares when I was a kid so this is probably something I could tackle. Do you crochet?

How pretty!
I haven't crocheted in forever, I always loved it though. I am currently obsessed with learning to knit.

So pretty...
I don't crochet but I can knit a scarf! Being left handed it's always hard for me to learn these things unless of course it's a left handed person showing me.
Have a great day!

i love my girl Beata...she inspired me to pick up vintage pillowcases whenever i find them. just the other day i scored a bunch at the brand new V. Village that opened in Orillia. They were fully stocked and I was giddy. I was JUST thinking that I needed to learn to crochet!!

My grandmother crocheted a trim on all of her linens. I considered it her sweet signature.

They are so pretty. Couldn't you just see these in a bedroom lakeside in the Muskoka?

Those pillows make me very happy and the trim just makes them even better. I'd love to learn a new craft - maybe in the new year.

Oh they are beautiful, I have to try that! I tried my hand at crochet last year but I was rubbish at it, I could only make little circles so they ended up being used as decorations for the Christmas tree. You have inspired me to try this though as it doesn't look as complicated. Thanks for sharing.

I DO crochet but
I DO NOT knit! And
I'm a very basic
crocheter, at that.
These pillow cases
remind me of ones
that my great grandma
used to crochet; she
also embroidered the
ends, as well ~ so
sweet. Thanks for
the memories!

Gorgeous crocheting detail, love it.

My niece crochets nana blankets etc.. they are very cute.

This has inspired me, I will have to ask her to teach me.
