[ my nice jugs! ]

I'VE ALWAYS been a huge fan of ironstone jugs displayed on shelves and country hutches. There's just something about their shapes, feminine handles and details that look so pretty grouped together.

[ country living, better homes and gardens, good life of design]

So when I came across an assortment of jugs at Homesense, I immediately loaded them into my cart. At $12.99 and $9.99 each, I could afford to pick up a few and start my own jug collection on my vintage hutch. Though they're not antique ironstone, they're a good start to a collection and I can keep adding to them as I find pretty ones in my travels.

For now they occupy the top shelf and I think they look cute mixed in with my other pieces. Hopefully someday my entire hutch will be filled with fabulous jug finds.

Hi lovely Lisa,

These jugs are so beautiful. I love jugs too...and I really love the style of the ones you've picked out. The look so dang pretty all lined up on your hutch.

If they were mine, I think I'd be staring and smiling at them all day!

Your new collection looks so pretty. It is amazing how taking one simple object and grouping them all toghether makes each one seem so much special.

Love all of it. I am always drawn to ironstone - I love ceramics, would take it over crystal every time. I also love your shells, I have them around my house. I suppose my fascination comes from living in the desert.

I adore ironstone as well. My mother-in-law had a fabulous collection that now resides with my father-in-law. It is timeless and useable! Great idea to start with these good looking modern versions - they look terrific on your hutch!
